How To Measure EC with your Direct Soil EC Meter
- 1. Pick your testing location.
- 2. Rinse the testing probe with water, and make sure it is dry.
- 3. Check the soil and ensure that the soil is fully saturated.
- 4. Insert your soil conductivity tester directly into the soil, and take your measurement.
- 5. Record a few values to get an average in each pot.
- 6. Learn that “happy” plants in your garden have "X" EC and temperature values.
- 7. Feed or flush “non-happy” plants to match the values recorded from happy plants.
- 8. Spend less time testing runoff and more time quickly testing root masses.
- 9. Know what your roots see and take the guesswork out of flushing.
